A warm soft wind runs through and through
And in my heart there's only you...

I am so impressed with this site. Beautiful layout and well written. Looking forward to more.

Great start! Congratulations. I'll be reading more.

I can't believe though that Peter couldn't stay consistent with an accent. I think I'll go back and see what the situations are in which the accent is on display -- when Heyes is trying to disarm someone by appearing innocent or a bumpkin? accent used when speaking to certain characters and not for others? Peter's idea of Heyes' idea of good disguise in this, one of their first, essays into living among law-abiding folk, which Heyes then forgets about in the heat of the moment?

I like the way the scene cuts back and forth between the boys on the roof and the gang below, both deciding that the same safe needs an extra big blast of dynamite.

Great start, browneyes! Lovely site design. But you skipped my favorite line of Peter's when Wheat hands him the note behind the teller's cage and says, "Well, read this," and Heyes says, "I don't have to read (that,) I WROTE it." Cracks me up everytime. =)

Can't wait until next week's blog. Thanks for starting this. It's going to be a lot of fun for us!

Great website, you can tell it was done with great care and insight. I can't wait for next week even though I'm primarily a Kid fan. Yoiu picked up on a few things I haven't noticed before. I thing though when Lom is introducing them as Mr Smith and Mr. Jones I always thought the unheard dialogue of Pete and Ben was them repeating thier new alias to themselves silently in order to remember them and was supposed to be unheard. Keep up the good work!

I love this blog!!!! It is SO much fun reading your entries. It's like watching the show with you — only better because you find things even I miss, LOL! And I have quite the eye for that dark-haired cowboy, lemme tell ya! Keep 'em coming, Cherie. Job well done! A great way to start the day!

Keep up the wonderful work

Hi,
I have been meaning to email to thank you for your terrific web site. I just love it. I too am a fan from when it first ran on TV. I too am a fan of Pete, of his work, and what he could have accomplished if. I enjoy your thoughts and comments…I agree almost all the time. Thanks again,

Thank you, thank you! This blog is a gift, I just love it! For the past 6 months, I have been watching an episode of AS&J nearly every night...and rewinding a dozen times to feast my eyes on Pete Duel; such a nice revisit after 38 years. And I thought I was the only one who still loved these guys (oooh, Pete, good LOrd, could there possibly be a more gorgeous man?? it took me less than a minute to fall in love all over again.) I thought I had noticed every little thing in every episode, but thank you for showing me that I didn't. What fun!

tell me, does anyone know when season 2 will come out? I have only had the season 1 to watch so far. Peter just amazes me. What a gorgeous man! It is even far sweeter loving him NOW than when I was a young girl. I can appreciate it even more now, if you know what I mean..

I think Heyes lets Kid go it alone in a fight (as long as it's a fair fight) because he's brought him up to be a strong man who can stand on his own two feet. It would be very emasculating for Heyes to jump in and save Kid's butt all the time. But when Kid really needs help (like in Miracle at Santa Marta), Heyes is on it! He's striding purposefully to the stage (wow!), tossing those bags up (what a man!), and getting all aggressive with the sheriff later (what a perfect man!). Heyes takes care of Kid, but in a manly way.

Hello, I commented before , but I want to say again how much I admire this site . In fact , I am in awe of the way you ve examined each episde in such detail , and made it such a joy to watch out for your findings . I ve only rediscovered Pete Duel this year , and of all the trawling I 've done on the Internet , this has been my favourite . Thank you so much . Oh I would dearly love you to do more of Pete 's work . .

I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your reviews. Watching the episodes is always a real treat for me, but with your remarks in the back of my head it's just even more fun. I rediscoverd ASJ only quite recently and still love it as much as I did 30 years ago. And I find it fascinating how many people seem to feel the same way, according to all the comments and websites you can find on the internet.
Keep up the good work!

I have only just found this blog by recommendation, what a fantastic insight to the episodes etc, you have put into words things that I have noticed from watching AS&J but didn't think anyone else had!! Also, me being a Pete admirer (I don't like the word fan), this is a lovely page to come to.

Well done, a great site, long may you continue, although I should be working I keep dipping in here now and again!!!
